Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things ye do. Our Lord places the fulfillment of our responsibility to our parents above our responsibility to God as a practical test of faith. It is easy to talk of loving God, and many do who will not tithe nor observe moral requirements in many spheres. God does not publish a report on our delinquencies here and now. How we treat our parents reveals what our faith is, according to our Lord.
